Bram Stoker's Dracula (1992)

Where Bram Stoker's Dracula says it takes place, and where it was really shot.

The film is set in Transylvania and London, yet it was shot almost entirely on Los Angeles sound stages; the one real-world place on its map is a church in LA.

Vlad returns from battle in 1462 to find his wife Elisabeta has died, and a priest tells him her soul is damned. In his rage he turns on God and swears vengeance. It is the wound the whole film grows from.

Lucy's house in London (1897)

Mina is staying with her friend Lucy while Jonathan is away. Lucy is courted by three men at once, and then Dracula arrives. From here Lucy's health and behavior start to fail.

Dracula, looking young, stops Mina on a London street and asks her to show him the cinematograph. She is wary of a stranger but gives way when he introduces himself as a prince. She starts to enjoy his company.

The convent wedding in Romania (1897)

Mina learns that Jonathan escaped the castle and is recovering in a convent. She chooses to go to him and marry him. A heartbroken Dracula takes revenge on Lucy.

The hunters bring Mina to Dr. Seward's asylum, where Renfield, the first solicitor the Count used, tells her his master is coming for her. He begs her to leave. Dracula answers by making his move on the asylum.

The hunters race to Varna (1897)

Van Helsing hypnotizes Mina and learns the Count is sailing home. The hunters take the train to Varna to catch his ship, but he reads Mina's mind and slips past them.

Borgo Pass (1897)

Van Helsing takes Mina to the pass and the castle while the others chase the carriage carrying the Count's last box. At night the Count's brides come for them, and Mina's resistance starts to slip.
